After posting at a separate blog I found that many of my posts were related to food. As an experimental cook, I find a dish, research it, read online postings of recipes and comments, and then tweak the recipes until I create a dish I am willing to recreate again and again. Only then can I call the dish my own. Along the way, I'll try a recipe that is perfect as presented and will gladly give credit where credit is due.
In this blog, I'll discuss the trial and error process and share my discoveries: a new market, the best way to cook a dish, substitutions, short cuts and cheap solutions.
In addition, I'll share tips on storage and organization hints for a successful kitchen and family meals.
What you won't find on this blog are expensive, silly, pretentious, unrealistic recipes. Another thing you won't find are meat recipes. Our family is vegetarian. It is in response to "Vegetarian? What do you eat?" that I felt compelled to start a strictly cooking blog.
I hope you enjoy the recipes as much as I enjoy experimenting.
